Grappler Fall Classic Recap

The Grappler Fall Classic is a National Tournament in Sandusky, Ohio that draws the attention of local and national fans. Ohio is known for its tough wrestling mixed with the likes of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California. Team Red and Black usually sends a group of St. Francis Red Raiders wrestlers courteous of KD6 Wrestling Club. This year was no different. In this rendition of our GFC Recap we will go over our RB Team’s performance in what was a very tough GFC Classic.

Our RB Team was another star studded lineup featuring our Red Raider Wrestlers. Our Red Raider Wrestlers competing included:

Jaxson Tocco (2-2)

Pat Winseman (1-2)

John Winseman (2-2)

Brayden Kellison-Neglia (3-2)

Tanner Catrabone (4-2)

Max McCarthy (4-2)

Zak Massaro (0-2)

Ali Hamideh (0-2)

Zack Gibson (2-2)

Roman Zarbo (1-2)

Joe Colantino (0-2)

Dominic Darch (5-1)

Our boys wrestled valiantly this weekend with most of our boys getting some wins and even bringing back some hardware. Dominic Darch took home Bronze in his run this weekend at 215lbs. Darch avenged his Quarter-Finals loss to Dylan Frass (Pursuit) in his 3rd Place match when he dominated his opponent via a 7-1 final score. Darch has been a highlight since he joined the Red Raiders last year and seems to be rolling into the season as a big name in the state and the country.

We are super proud of all of our boys who competed. Although it may not have been the results some of you may have wanted. Just know you made so many people proud back home with your performances, so keep your heads up. We can’t wait to see what else you gentlemen accomplish this season.

Luctando Per Fidem.
